Maharashtra Launches State-Led MICE Initiative at IMEX Frankfurt 2025

Frankfurt, May 21st, 2025:
The Maharashtra Government’s Department of Tourism has officially announced the formation of the Maharashtra Convention Bureau (MCB)India’s first state-led initiative focused on positioning Maharashtra as a prime destination for global conventions, exhibitions, and business events. The announcement was made at IMEX Frankfurt, one of the world’s largest and most influential trade shows in the MICE industry.

Strengthening Maharashtra’s Global Tourism Identity

Based in Mumbai, India’s financial capital, the MCB will serve as a strategic body to attract and facilitate international events. It aims to capitalize on the state’s reputation as a global business and tourism hub. This development aligns with the Maharashtra Tourism Policy 2024, which emphasizes the importance of the growing Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector and its potential to fuel the visitor economy.
