The Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) 2025 – Wedding & MICE Conclave has concluded in Kochi with a powerful call for a clear policy framework to position Kerala as the country’s foremost hub for wedding and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) tourism. The three-day event, held from August 14–16, brought together tourism leaders, global buyers, industry stakeholders, and government officials to shape the future of this fast-growing sector.
Inaugurating the valedictory session, Kerala Tourism Director Shikha Surendran highlighted the need for MICE Promotion Bureaus in major cities, starting with Kochi, and a strong global marketing strategy to showcase Kerala’s unique strengths. She noted that the conclave has laid a “firm foundation” for Kerala’s journey towards becoming India’s most sought-after destination for weddings and MICE tourism.
Organised by the Kerala Travel Mart Society in association with the Department of Tourism, the event hosted over 6,600 business meetings alongside engaging seminars with international experts. The conclave offered a vibrant platform for stakeholders to discuss strategies, share insights, and explore collaborations that would enhance Kerala’s visibility in the global tourism map.
KTM Society President Jose Pradeep underlined that the conclave has set a benchmark for the segment in India. Former presidents of the Society also addressed the closing session, reinforcing the collective vision of strengthening Kerala’s tourism brand.
The event not only celebrated Kerala’s natural beauty and cultural cosmopolitanism but also emphasized the importance of government initiatives and industry partnerships in driving growth. With clear goals, collaboration, and a policy framework in place, Kerala is on its way to emerging as a leading name in the wedding and MICE tourism industry.
As the curtains fell on KTM 2025, one message echoed strongly: Kerala is ready to embrace its future as India’s top wedding and MICE destination.
